Why Hallow Him? There are many bible passages that talks about Hallowing the Lord, His Sabbaths, Holy days, and sacrifices in worship. I have chosen these four verses of scriptures to make it easy for all our children, who mostly participates in our Annual Hallow Him Festival.
We have been celebrating the Lord in our lives, with our special abilities, gifts, and talents since October 2006, when the Lord initially gave me the clear vision to tell the church to celebrate Him on Halloween days. Ever since then, we have not failed in a single year to celebrate the Lord as a church through Hallow Him Festival Celebration on the same day Halloween is celebrated in our nation, because we now understand what it means to Hallow the Lord and then be Hallowed back by the Lord for our eternal consecration in preparation for spending eternity with Him.
The following scriptures, speaks very clearly and simply about the importance and need to remember always to Hallow the Lord our God.
Leviticus 22:31-33 and Luke 11:2 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. -Leviticus 22:31 Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you, -Leviticus 22:32 That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD. -Leviticus 22:33 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. -Luke 11:2
We Hallow the Lord simply because He commanded us to Hallow Him in our daily lives as we pray and offer our abilities, gifts and talents daily and on special events in honor of His glorious name. It is our way of being consecrated before the Lord and by the Lord according to many bible passages.
We believe and recognize that God made the heavens and earth according to the scriptures. Genesis 1:1-3. We equally believe and recognize that God owns everything in the Universe and all that are in the earth including us. If He owns everything that includes all of humanity, then, we owe Him our worship through consecration because He alone deserves our praises in worships.
Our Hallow Him Conviction Our conviction is this, if we Hallow Him appropriately and adequately, He will do likewise to us in preparing us to live eternally with Him.
